Horse Camp

The Horse Camp is designed for new riders who want to learn how to ride horses or as a refresher course.  Students will be given basic instruction on how to care for a horse; how to safely interact with a horse;  and basic riding techniques to become one with the horse.  This develops sound horse skills and self confidence.

The instruction will conclude with a thirty-minute trail ride to practice what they have learned.  The class is designed for youth 8 years and up.  This is a great class for young at heart adults too.

  • Suitable for families or groups!

  • Instructors reserve the right to decline a rider for the trail ride.

  • Parents of minor children must stay on the grounds during the program.

The cost for this class and 30 min trail ride is $90 per person.  Call for times at 931-484-3733.

The Standing Tall Life Skills Program addresses the needs of youth (and adults) who are experiencing social, emotional or physical challenges in their daily life.  We provide a positive and safe equestrian environment to empower students with social life skills and coping skills that help them build self-awareness and self-esteem.  Our students care for the horses and a natural bond of trust and acceptance occurs.  This is a holistic program to address the needs of the Body, Mind and Spirit.  Our goal is for our students to incorporate their skills to improve relationships and build a stronger community.

At Standing Tall Life Skills Program, Inc., we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2018, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements in the evaluations of our students.  Our Students leave with a toolbox of social skills to help them be successful in life.  The self confidence and leadership they display is the scale of the effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!
