What are the prices for trail rides, pony rides and wagon rides?
The long ride (1 1/2 hrs. is $55. The Short ride (30 min.) is $40. Pony rides are $10 for 10 minutes. Wagon rides are available upon request.
Do I need reservations?
Yes, you need to make reservations as soon as you know your plans for the week. During the peak season, slots fill up quickly. We reserve a horse just for you. You may now make reservations on line. We appreciate a call when you need to cancel so that someone else may take your time slot.
Do I need to cancel a reservation?
Absolutely. We ask you to please be considerate and cancel your ride as soon as you can. You can cancel your on line reservations as well. Your time slot and horse have been reserved for you. When someone is a no-show, that is time lost that someone else could have ridden. We are a small, privately owned business and can't absorb the loss of revenue for No-shows.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and ITEX. Cash is always good too!
What should I wear for a trail ride?
You should wear comfortable clothing such as jeans or long pants. You should wear comfortable shoes, such as tennis shoes, that will not slide off the feet while on the trail. All cellphones, purses and backpacks should be left in your vehicle or the office during your ride.
What times do the trail rides go out?
The short rides go out at 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. The long rides go out at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please plan allow plenty of driving time to arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled ride. We will notify you in plenty of time in the event the ride is canceled due to weather or some other unforeseen factor.
If I change my mind, can I get a refund?
Our policy is that once you are on the horse, you will not receive a refund. Refunds will not be given if the ride did not meet your expectations. Refunds for pony rides with young children may be given at the discretion of our staff.
Can I double ride with my child on the horse?
No. Double riding is very dangerous and our liability insurance will not allow it. For the safety of our riders and horses, couple riding is strictly prohibited.
Do you board horses?
Yes. We have a few slots for short and long term boarding. Call the barn for more information. All boarder horses will be quarantined upon arrival and must have appropriate Coggins and health records.
Can I bring food to the stables?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or supper to the stables to enjoy the beautiful surroundings especially if you have food allergies. We will offer food for purchase at the time of your on line reservation.
Can I bring my pet?
Please do not bring your pet. We have barn dogs and cats and they are territorial animals. We will not be responsible for your pet. There is a Dog Park in Fairfield Glade. The only exception is service animals. We would appreciate you giving us a call prior to your arrival at the stable with your service animal so that we can put our animals up. We will not be responsible for any injuries to your pet if we are not informed they are coming on property.
Can I bring an alcoholic beverage to the stable?
Yes, you may bring your own bottle to the stable if you are enjoying the bonfire or special events. We encourage our guest to drink and act responsibly. Any rude, loud or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated as we are a family friendly business.
Trail Riders who are under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to mount a horse or ride on the trails.
Can I smoke at the barn?
No smoking is allowed inside the stable or the hay barn. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas and a butt can is available. We would prefer that you do not smoke anywhere on the property as a courtesy to our staff and guests.
Can I bring my weapon to the stable?
NO. Leave all weapons locked in your vehicle.
